My name is Maksym. I have an associate degree in digital Filmmaking. As of this moment I work in retail, and I also do video freelancing part-time. For the longest time, I thought that videography was my calling, but after working as a freelancer I started to feel tired and demotivated (constant traveling, lifting heavy equipment, and being underpaid). This is when my friend recommended QA. I believe this is a great career change that will help me with getting more stability in my life. In the next five years, I want to be great at QA testing and work at a company that will value my input.

My name is Vladislav. I live in Ukraine. My education is a mining engineer. But I worked in this profession only two years. Then, I worked in the construction and repair of buildings industrial plants. I was the director and owner of a construction company.
Then the war began.
Thanks to the channel of Mikhail Portnov (I've been watching for about 7 years), I was interested in learning QA. In the fall, I started watching a free course, but I had to postpone it for studying English.
Perseverance will surely bring results. And life will change. It's never too late.
This course will not end my studies. You need to master automation.

Hi, I'm Rustem.
I got into university when I was 15 years old. Upon graduation with MS in Math I worked as a software developer for 12 years. Then I burned out and switched to bank information security. After 13 years working with digital signatures and cryptography I burned out, got an offer for a high-level expert position in technical support and worked there for two years (the same pandemic two years).
Now I decided to return to software development - this time on a QA engineer position. QA has always been in my life: during programming studying at university, during software developing, during software maintenance. So, I want to be in QA officially now, and to be someone who makes the difference in QA.Last edited by rustemsh; 03-22-2023, 06:41 PM.

My name is Igor.
I am a geologist by training, although, like most people in the 90s, it was not useful to me.
All my adult life I have worked in sales or supply. Starting as a small boy, I managed to grow into a good specialist at top management level. I was helped in this by my ambition and goals, which I have always had.
Quite by accident (really accidentally), the QA profession flashed before my eyes. After getting to know it better, I realized that this is my next goal. Why? I am very fond of neatness and pedantry. I hate clutter and really appreciate attentiveness. When I saw that I could fulfil myself even more here, I didn't hesitate to invest in myself - in my time, energy and, I'm sure, opportunities.
That is why I see myself in five years, or maybe even sooner, as a good and in-demand specialist who is not only willing, but will be able to create quality order and accuracy in software creation processes.

My name is Yulia. I came with my family to the United States 10 months ago because the war started in my country Ukraine. In Ukraine, I was engaged in the import of children's goods and helped my husband with the distribution of food products. I also set up ads, targeted ads on Facebook, Instagram for my product. A few years ago, we developed our son's children's channel on YouTube. The channel now has 287 thousand subscribers. Now I am studying English more intensively and I am interested in the direction of software testing, because I am familiar with the computer, and I see the direction of development in this industry. I would like to work in this area because I want to support my family and do interesting work.
