Hi, I'm Olga from Ukraine. I've been living in Montana USA for 2 years, working wherever I can find a job Back home, I had experience teaching engineering disciplines at a university, as well as working in logistics and finance. After many attempts to find a reasonably professional job in the US, I've come to the conclusion that my diverse work experience makes employers cautious. I hope that QA will help me connect the dots in my career. I know people who have found fully remote jobs after these classes, so I'm feeling super positive!

Hello everyone, I'm Anton from Moscow region, 34 years old.
Graduated in 2013 from Moscow Technical Bauman's University, specialty - optical electronic devices engineer.
Have 10 years of experience of working in developing data transmission systems for harsh environments. 8 years on the position of team lead of mechanical engineering team.
Had good fulfilling years working with the company, now it's time to move on in order to become more versatile. (As one of the teachers used to say: "Кто не идет в ногу со временем, уходит со временем").
I've tried coding some time ago, but soon understood, that I need more diversity, more contacting with people and getting faster feedback. So when by occasion I learned what QA testing is about, I thought "Wow, I need to go for it. Maybe I'll succeed, maybe not, but I will definitely learn something in the process, so in any case it is going to be new experience, and, who knows, maybe a new career". So here I am, on the course.
My current goal is to learn to help passionate companies deliver state-of-the-industry software, which is reliable and eliminates unnecessary frustration which poor-quality software brings to human everyday live.Last edited by Anton Chukin; 05-20-2024, 01:26 PM.

At the age of 5 i guess I started searching for content on browsers and this is how begin learning about the UI in general. During my teens, I was interested in video games and I wanted to win tournaments and cups in games like CS:GO and Fortnite. For a long time, I only played tournament games, and I think I even won some tournaments, but I can't remember when it was and which was it . When I was 16, I moved to Georgia with my family and went to a US school. By the way i didnt speak, understand and almost can write in Enslish, i decided to just be in English communiti nad after a year, I moved to California. When I turned 18, I started working on delivery but I realized that this job was boring and I didn't want to do it anymore. Finally, I remember my father from my 13th year. During those days, he always watched Mikhail Portnov on YouTube. Then he asked me if I wanted to do QA. I asked him what QA is? And he showed me Mikhail's channel. Since that happend, I had already watched about 5-6 open lessons on QA in Russian. After that, I realized that I actually liked this kind of lessons and want to try to learn my self in class which is going to be in Englush. So far I can see my progress, even though I have already watched about 5 lessons. I am still learning and thriving.

Hi everyone. My name is Olga, and I graduated with my Master's degree in Business Analytics almost 2 years ago. I currently work at a Fitness Software company, where I started off as an Online Technical Support Representative. In that role, I worked with our clients in assisting them with setting up the provided hardware and training them how to use our systems. I was then promoted to Offline Technical Support Representative, where I handle the incoming escalations from our Tier 1 and 2 team. After resolving the issue, I ensure that both our hardware and software are functioning properly by testing it with the client. I'm looking to shift my career path into being a QA tester to help companies improve their services/releases for its users and making their product run smoothly.

Hello everyone.
My name is Marina. I live in Calgary. Before moving to Canada, I lived in Moscow, worked as a project manager in a web design studio, then as a client manager, then started my own small digital agency. Then I closed it down, took a two-year sabbatical and got a Master's degree in psychology.
After moving to North America and not being able to pass a language test to become licensed in my field due to my limited English, I decided to try my hand at testing web projects that I had experience with in the past.
Glad we're in the same boat.

Hello Colegues and Teachers,
Allow me to introduce myself. I am Arthur, originally from Romania. I have an Mba and Management bachelor and my professional journey has been diverse. Spanning internet sales, networking, and even competitive gaming within the professional gamers league, web editor, IT manager, and self-taught web designer allowed me to explore various facets of the IT world.
However, in 2016, I embarked on a different adventure—traveling the world. Now, as I settle down, I find myself drawn back to technology. Manual QA and Automation have captured my interest, providing a fresh restart for my career.
I am eager to immerse myself in the tech landscape once again and collaborate on exciting projects. It’s a pleasure to meet you all, and I look forward to contributing to our shared endeavors.
Best regards,
ArthurLast edited by inhalexhalehigh; 05-22-2024, 05:53 PM.
