I am the type of person who tries to do my best in anything I do.
In my early twenties, together with one of my closest friends I started a wedding photo/video business. I was in charge of the video department. Every film I created was not delivered to the costumer until I was happy with the product. As a result, many of our costumers returned and hired us for more events. After over a decade of filming, I was at a point in my life when I was getting ready to start a family. For a number of reasons I decided that I wanted to change things and get a nine to five job with weekends and holidays off, and most importantly with health benefits for my family. I was hired by a company and started from the bottom. Few years later, after receiving two promotions I was promoted to a supervisor position. I managed small, as well as big jobs and teams. Working for this company I did the best I could, resulting in my gain of great experience while growing as a professional and a person. Ten years later I resigned because my wife and I made a decision to relocate. Once again, I found myself starting out fresh. I am glad I discovered Software QA and happy to learn the trade from the pioneer, Mikhail Portnov! As always, I will do the best I can and take this as far as I can go!

My name is Vladimir Belev. I am from Ukraine. My experience primarily involves the maritime/gas industry.

As an experienced professional in the gas industry, my expertise encompasses managing and operating liquefied gas production facilities and handling transport vessels. Throughout my career, I have successfully led teams of 15 to 25 people, focusing particularly on safety and professional development of the staff. My key roles included positions such as Senior Officer and Safety Officer on LPG vessels, where I demonstrated a high level of crisis management skills.

My experience with various gas products, including ethylene, ammonia, and butane, has helped me develop a deep understanding of the industry. I implemented innovative methods to improve safety culture, leading to a 50% reduction in accidents and hazardous conditions. One of my key achievements was the development and implementation of a medical monitoring program for personnel working in confined spaces.

I actively engage in addressing crisis management and emergency situations, including gas leaks, search and rescue operations, and training the team in safety measures. My work is characterized by effective problem-solving, time management, and the ability to develop professional skills in my subordinates. I hold Bachelor's degrees in Business Economics, Marketing, and Maritime and River Transport from prestigious Ukrainian universities. I am constantly striving to expand my knowledge and skills to stay at the forefront of innovations in my industry.

Hello everyone! My wife and I have been here in the USA for 18 months, but the country is not new to us. Since 2009, we have regularly visited the States, often staying in New York where our daughter was studying at university. After the war began, we had to leave RF for good. Here, we have our extended mixed family and grandchildren. I consider myself a fairly advanced computer user and have worked remotely for most of my career, long before COVID. I've never been involved in professional programming, but I believe that QA (Quality Assurance) is the right niche for me. I'm currently slowly 'smoking' Java and hope that combining it with QA will be interesting.

I've been interested in tech since high school, where I took an elective computer class and I loved it. However, influenced by my parents I pursued a degree in Business Administration and for some time I enjoyed it. It helped me while I had my young kids to have an income. However, I am a very positive and energetic person that are constantly looking to acquire new knowledge.
I've decided to transition into Quality Assurance to pursue personal growth and additional income. A friend, currently working as QA engineer, recommended the field expressing confidence in my aptitude for it. Recently I learned how to write bug reports and test cases and I found to be incredibly rewarding.
In the next five years, I see myself working as a Quality Assurance Engineer, having progressed in my career. I aspire to engage in multiple projects, driven my enthusiasm for continuously acquiring new skills. Also, I see myself in the next five years traveling around the world: I really want to visit Italy, Spain, Brazil and China.

Hello everyone my name is Daniel. I was born and raised in the United States of America. And I'll be moving to Texas soon probably later this week. I used to work in the automotive field by repairing cars and selling parts and I wanted to try something new. And my Uncle told me about QA and I was really invested. I did some research and this is what I want to do. I do have little experiences on how some program works but not to the extent of how to report bugs and all that stuff.

My name is Volodymyr Shuvayev, and I graduated from Kyiv Polytechnic University in 2001 with a degree in print and design. After working for a few years in that field, I managed a photo bank and later pursued photography and journalism for over 15 years. During my school years, I dabbled in Unix and supported websites and forums as a hobby. Currently, I'm in a new country with my family, and I'm looking to transition from a survival job to a career that I am passionate about. I aspire to make a breakthrough so that I no longer have to work night shifts at the sawmill. My IT friends suggested that I could be a decent software tester due to my passion for correcting mistakes. Despite starting from scratch three times in my life at the age of 39, I have made it to team coordination and project management positions. However, I understand that this requires time and dedication. I love working in a team and believe that it is necessary to put in every effort and not be afraid of making mistakes. Not a coincidence is that QA is directly related to identifying and rectifying flaws. I know the significance of finding a mentor when starting something new, and I believe I've found the right place to do so.
